My sister introduced me to the new official Olympic theme song telling me that I would not be disappointed. With such awe inspiring lyrics and opera-backing choruses I can see what she means.

Listening to this very long song for around the 4th time, it hit me that this song is clearly a very obnoxious song to some people (which was to me the first time I heard it), but makes sense if you are in love with someone. That love makes all the lyrics feel so emotionally relevant despite the music being drawn out for so long, and you realise you have been missing something all along.

Off topic: This probably isn't interesting to anyone, but one of the demo iPad apps on demo iPads happens to be Architizer, a wonderful website on architecture. I didn't know they had an iPad app till I had to make a trip to the Apple Store to fix my iPod. Now I can justify procrastinating in a Apple Store - 'no I'm just browsing...for precedents'.

One of my favourite songs off the Fleet Foxes album.

Ok, I really hated Kanye's latest album (My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy). I didn't really get it and just hearing him rapping about his egotistical self tipped me to the point where it made me feel sick.

But now after hearing this song, I'm prepared to think differently. I know this song I posted up is not from not from the album I just mentioned. No, it's from Kayne and Jay-Z's Watch the Throne. But anyway; no idea why I changed my mind on it. Maybe it's just watching those two bros get tight. Maybe somehow Watch the Throne is easier to digest because MBDTF already numbed me to the point where I can actually listen to the album. Maybe because admittedly, Kanye just makes this a whole lot of fun.

Every time I hear those grand statements of wealth, fame and bitches they own, I just laugh to myself and think, wow you guys are ridiculous. Ridiculously made.

This should be a status update on Facebook, but anyway. This blog needs less architecture-related posts for a while.

Listening to James Blake on ~$200 Shure IEMs.

Mind.

This song is painfully catchy, and makes me want to twirl around all the halls of the world and dance and cry at the same time.
