I know mother won't read this, but today I was worried, because I should have done a few things. I know you have your expectations of the perfect Mother's Day. You might have been excepting me to wake you up and set breakfast on the table for you, which I didn't do, so strike one. Failing to wake up at such an early time, at least I could have the dignity to text you, or to send you flowers during work, wishing you a Happy Mother's Day, but I didn't do that, so strike two. I also haven't provided for you anything in return, not a cleaning up of the horrible state my workspace is in. Strike three.
