Someone once told me that life is like a huge series of mountains and valleys, and the highest points of life is when you're top of the mountain, and the lowest points are when you're down in the valley. Yup, it's a biblical allegory. But I reckon he failed to mention that there are plains as well as the mountains and valleys. Sometimes, nothing happens in your life for a long time, nothing bad, nothing good. Just you and your boring office job. Meeting the same people everyday in the morning, then when the weekend comes, you just sit in your lounge watching TV for the whole day. And then Monday rolls and you do the same thing over again, and it's like that for the year, and the next, and the next. You don't do anything or meet anyone new, and that's when you are in a plain, a never ending stretch of plain that you can't get out of, and sometimes besides you are mountains and valleys you start to notice, but afraid to walk into because the plain seems a lot more comfortable.
