I have nothing against people who have tattoos on them, and I don't really care if you have one small tattoo on your forearm or tattoos all over your face and back like the Yazuka. I however have sworn off dying my hair, piercing any part of my body or getting any tattoos put on me. It's not really because I want to uphold higher moral standards, I just like the idea of having my body completely pristine when I die.

Anyway, now for a funny anecdote. I saw this skinny bogan with his shirt off revealing a full body tattoo of a dragon on the front and a full body tattoo of a tiger on the back. Dad started laughing at this bogan, and I wondered why. After he walked off Dad then explained to me that according to Chinese culture the dragon was the sworn enemy of the tiger. The dragon is however in harmony with the phoenix. Hence the bogan has his chest tattoos "in opposition" with his back.
