Here is a flattering photograph of Revit Architecture 2012 at work. And the situation I often find myself in.
Okay, so the big deal is actually, I've swapped from the ArchiCad camp to the Revit camp for now.
Pros
1. CLEAN EXPORTS TO AUTOCAD THANK GOD
2. Okay interface to work with, possibly even preferable to Archicad.
3. Section and perspective views instantly created (I know, this is also the case with Archicad) so you instantly find out why your building isn't working, which is often the case.
Cons
1. Difficult to get a project going and working if you're a newbie, like all BIM modeling programs
2. Revit can't downgrade saves for older versions to load, which means I can't do any work at uni unless I hound the technician to install Revit 2012. Lose 10 points.
3. Not very flexible with curvilinear, custom things.
4. Material selection in Revit kinda sucks more than Archicad. I still can't figure out why certain families work and others don't under certain commands.
