Dead At Last

Perth's other side of the weather; Cold-miserable-rainy-day, showed up today, who also brought his friend along called ''Facebook statuses involving the phase 'raindrops on my head''. It also brought about the end of a miserable last ditch effort to try and pass the tech unit.

Here is the cause of my grief:

Slaved over that stupid thing for 2 days, not counting the near all nighters all the way back from study break.

I was considering living in my car yesterday, and there's benefits:

1. I can spend less on petrol
2. I can spend less time on the road and spend more time doing work
3. If I need to get supplies I can just drive to said shop instead of waiting for the bus.

Unfortunately there's also cons:

1. Parents get too worried that their daughter might have got abducted.
2. No confortable bed to lay on.
3. No showers (found that the hard way).
4. Often if the decision is made to live in my car it means that an assignment is due that involves model making, and that also involves severe sleep deprivation, which is not good to have if you going to drive a car.
5. You have to pay for food all the time, and live on basic bread and butter, or MSG laden instant foods. Or just don't eat at all.

I almost was going to live in my car, but I gave up. I should have though, it would have been the real architecture student experience (oh how unhealthy and horrifying, but how heroic!). I got halfway though, but not as far as I did at first year. Oh well, maybe I'll get to coming folio week. Except I probably will be propped upright next to the computer at home, eyes on CAD drawings for an antagonizing 30 hours non-stop, which is not twice as fun.

When I got to the room to hand in my model I saw even cooler models. Some had cast blue polyethylene for pool water, others went the laser cut model path, and some of the balsa wood ones were just intricate and amazing. I was going to take photos of every single one of them, but the tutor wanted us all out of the room already.

Also, everyone probably drew better details than me. My details are utter shit. Time to get some well deserved sleep.
