Seoul Day 1

So when the decision was made to go to Korea (rather than Japan) I didn't really give a hoot about it. Honestly, I never cared for Korea. All I knew was that Korea was the land of pop stars, cheesy love soap operas, kimchi fried rice and zerg rush kekeke, and none of those things were up my alley.

But nevertheless, I was looking forward to the massive change in temperature, from hot dry sunny Australia to -10 degrees C cold icy Korea. So I arrived, stocked with fat duck down jackets and thermal wear.

Arrived in Incheon International Airport at 7 am, after a midnight flight which I didn't get much sleep out of. When it was time to shove into the bus I walked outside, and the cold air hit me, like I was walking in a very cold freezer. My ears started to tingle, I started to shiver a lot.

Next stop was a skyscraper with an art gallery on the top, and a wax museum below at basement level, and a aquarium squished in between. I was looking forward to the wax museum the most.

Afterwards we had kimchi fried rice, and I was looking forward to eating kimchi for the first time in my life (however, I was also looking forward to the day when I will get sick of kimchi).

Turns out it was 3 days, but more on that later. After that I was headed to Jeju Island.
